A two-time TEDx speaker, Jamie Tworkowski has inspired audiences at universities, concerts, and conferences across the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Having moved on from To Write Love on Her Arms in 2021 after 15 years with the organization, Jamie remains committed to mental health and suicide prevention. He's passionate about telling stories that offer encouragement and sharing what he's learned over the last two decades, both in his surprising journey with TWLOHA and as an individual who struggles with depression and ADHD. Driven by the idea that caring about people has to include caring about issues that affect people, Jamie invites us to wrestle with what it means to live out empathy and compassion. He believes that vulnerability leads to connection, that connection is vital to life, and ultimately that life is worth living. Speaking allows Jamie to offer hope to those who might be struggling.
While he's most often associated with mental health and suicide prevention, Jamie is a versatile speaker with expertise in multiple areas. A New York Times bestselling author, he loves to talk about the power of words. Jamie's life changed when the original "To Write Love on Her Arms" story went viral (MySpace!) in 2006. He enjoys reflecting on the evolution of social media and the role that technology plays in our lives today. As a founder with a background in surf-industry sales, Jamie is an open book when it comes to talking about the highs, lows, mistakes, and lessons learned from starting and leading an organization.
Speaking events can be in-person or virtual, public or private, keynote or workshop. We are happy to get creative in order to meet the needs of your community. For booking inquiries, please contact info@jamietworkowski.com
