Private Small-Group Conversation
If you've paid attention to my work in recent years, you may have noticed I've been leading lots of small-group conversations. These started in 2022 with the topic of friendship. From there, I added seasons of change, navigating dating, self-care, the holidays, and more. I've also been hosting two groups that meet weekly—on Sundays since the start of last year, and Mondays throughout 2024. We meet via Zoom, aim for three hours, sometimes people cry, and there are always lots of laughs. Connection tends to steal the show, with vulnerability as the secret sauce.
I'm excited to announce that you can now book your own private small-group conversation. You bring your people—up to eight including you. I'll play host and come with questions. We can connect before to figure out the topic / theme you want. You could do this for a birthday or another special occasion. Or maybe some kind of reunion, whether that means friends or family. It could also be a gathering of coworkers, from the past or current. Heck, we can talk about TWLOHA and the MySpace days if you like. If there's a group of people you want to share space in an intentional way with, I would be honored to host you.

Date and Time: I'm flexible. Weeknights at 7 or 8pm ET work well for me. If this is part of your work or your group prefers to meet during the day, I'm happy to meet earlier. Saturdays are good for me as well.
As for length of time, I know three hours might sound like a lot, but I promise it goes fast. If you have a smaller group or simply want to go shorter, again, I'm happy to be flexible.
Number of Participants: Up to eight, which means nine including me. If you want to do less than eight, it gives each individual more time to share.
Format: As for how the conversation flows, our time together is made up of four parts, which means everyone will have the chance to share four different times. To start, I'll welcome everyone, share some thoughts, and go over a few simple guidelines. This will be followed by a round of brief introductions. If there's a dedicated topic or theme, we'll start to touch on that as well.
The second and third parts make up the bulk of the conversation. Depending on the topic / topics / theme, I'll come with questions that invite depth and connection. There's often a chronological element as well, with the second part focusing more on past and present, followed by a third part that's rooted in the present but with an eye on the future. In addition to the prepared list of questions, as each person shares, I will typically ask follow-up questions. I'll invite others to ask follow-ups as well.
Whoever is speaking, they're the main priority, and then the chat is complimentary. Even if you're muted for 10 or 15 minutes, the chat allows for active listening. It's great for encouragement and humor. I'm a fan of hearts and fireworks too aka all the Zoom tricks.
We'll finish up with what I like to call a Say-So, which just means the chance to reflect on our time together. Essentially, this is the moment to say "We did it" or pay someone a compliment. It's a sweet note to end on.

When placing your order, please be sure to include your email address. I'll reach out to lock in date and time, along with preferred topic or theme. I'll cook up a Zoom link and then I'm happy to officially invite your group.

Please note: While the event shares some common ground with group therapy, I am not a licensed counselor and this is not group therapy. If you are looking for mental health resources in your local community, TWLOHA's Find Help Tool is excellent. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please reach out to 988 or Crisis Text Line.
Due to the limited nature of this event, tickets are non-refundable.
