Small-group conversations began as an experiment. While public speaking allows me to share with a large audience and coaching allows me to interact one-on-one, I was curious about a way to split the difference. I've been leading these groups for over a year now. They’ve provided a front-row seat for countless moments of vulnerability, kindness, and connection.

In celebrating the first year of small-group conversations, unexpected friendships kept coming up as we talked at the reunion. There were so many stories of strangers who turned into sources of encouragement and support, like-minded folks helping each other feel seen, heard, and understood. The coolest part is that so many of the relationships that began during a three-hour gathering online, they're still going strong months and even a year later.

My brilliant friend Brittany Mattes is the one who suggested this new topic, and she’ll be joining us for the conversation. Imposter Syndrome is defined as “persistent doubt concerning one's abilities or accomplishments accompanied by the fear of being exposed as a fraud despite evidence of one's ongoing success.”

As a college dropout who went on to accidentally start a non-profit that became something of an international phenomenon, Imposter Syndrome is a subject I can definitely relate to. I’ve spent years wrestling with questions about identity, talent, confidence, and perfectionism. Do I have what it takes? What if people realize I’m not qualified to lead a movement? When given an opportunity to speak or write, will I have anything meaningful to say? Am I allowed to make mistakes? What can I do about the anxiety and stress that come with all these questions?

Join me Tuesday, April 30 at 7pm ET. We’ll connect via Zoom and the event will be limited to eight people, so that everyone gets time to share. It’s good to set aside three hours. I promise the time goes by fast!

Please note: Due to the limited nature of these events, tickets are non-refundable.

You will receive the Zoom link a few days before our time together, followed by a word doc (aka road map aka game plan) on the day of the event.
