Four Thursdays in August
I've been leading The Sunday Group and The Monday Group since 2023. These two ongoing conversations have given me a front-row seat to countless moments that I cherish. I've cried 50 different times and I have laughed until my face hurt. Jay & Emma asked me to officiate their wedding in November. Jay & Emma met in Sunday Group. (No one else has fallen in love, at least that I'm aware of.) The Sunday Group's February group text is currently a celebration—because Becca just had her baby!
Open spots are rare. How rare? (I'm glad you asked.) Over in The Monday Group, August will be the 12th month in a row for the current crew. (Shout-out to Dylan, Jeanette, Jennifer, Jordan, Kayla, Kelly, Marsha Tam, and Rachel. Additional shout-out to Rachel for giving me a ride back to my hotel after Warped Long Beach last weekend.)
I've decided to offer a third weekly group in August.
What actually happens? Is there a theme? How is the time spent?
For starters, we'll meet via Zoom, and the lives of all six people will be our theme. Each week, each person gets a chance to share. We'll kick things off next Thursday, August 6 with introductions. You'll tell us about you—where you live and what life looks like, recent highs and lows, things you love, maybe things you're wrestling with. I'll play host and ask some follow-up questions. You might get a question or two from others in the group. You'll have the opportunity to ask them follow-up questions as well. From there, we'll journey together one week at a time. In my experience, when vulnerability is met with empathy and compassion, it leads to connection. That's really the magic of these groups. I promise that you'll laugh a lot as well. We all stay muted while someone else is talking, but the chat is always open. There will also be a group text to keep the conversation going outside of Thursday evenings.
Give it to me as a lyric.

How will Four Thursdays in August differ from The Sunday Group and The Monday Group?
Compared to the two existing weekly groups, Four Thursdays in August will be smaller, shorter, and more affordable.
Smaller: Six people (not including me) instead of eight.
Shorter: Two hours instead of three. We'll start at 8pm ET instead of 7pm ET. (Same end time of 10pm ET.)
More Affordable: $50 per week instead of $75. ($200 total instead of $300.)
My hope is that this makes it more accessible, and also that the later start time might work better for people on the West Coast.
What are the dates?
We will meet August 6, 13, 20, and 27. The start time is 8pm ET and we'll aim to be done by 10pm ET.
Any plans to continue beyond August?
Only August as of now. There are some other things I'm trying to make happen but the timing works for me to lead this group in August.
Anything else?
While the groups tend to be made up of people who speak the language of mental health—you might hear someone talk about therapy or counseling or medication—it's important to note that Four Thursdays in August is not group therapy. (On that note, I am not a counselor or therapist.) It's definitely a space to practice vulnerability and my hope is that you'll feel supported, but this shouldn't take the place of group therapy or professional help.
Any fine print?
Because of the limited nature (six spots available) and how soon we start, all sales are final. (No refunds.)
