“I Want to Start Something New” Conversation Ticket (5/31)
An experiment of sorts. Public speaking allows me to share with large groups but it’s mostly me talking. Coaching is highly interactive but I can only connect with one person at a time. Lately I’ve been able to split the difference, to host a group but do so in a way where it’s a conversation.
Is there something you’ve been wanting to start or learn or build? Maybe it’s a business. Maybe it’s a non-profit. Maybe it’s a group. Maybe it’s writing or art or a hobby or activity. Maybe it’s exercise or another form of self-care. Maybe it’s not entirely new but something you would like to do again.
I can relate, especially to that last bit, as I recently returned to writing after years away. There was a lot of shame and embarrassment around not using what for a long time felt like a gift, and a lot of uncertainty around trying again. Could I even still do it? What if I fail? What will people think? My Substack launched almost a month ago and it feels really good to be writing again.
Let’s talk. Let’s talk about what you want to start and why, what might be standing in the way, and how you can begin to go for it. This is not a masterclass or a lecture. My hunch is that the best of what you’ll find is connection, the chance to feel seen and heard by a group of like-minded folks who can relate.
Join me for this conversation on Wednesday, May 31 at 7pm ET. We’ll connect via Zoom and the event will be limited to eight people, so that everyone gets time to share. We will aim to finish between 9:30 and 9:45pm. I’m happy to stick around until 10pm ET to connect more and answer questions.
