WHAT IS HEART CAMP?

HEART CAMP is a two-day workshop led by Jamie Tworkowski. Jamie is the founder of To Write Love on Her Arms and the New York Times bestselling author of If You Feel Too Much. Each HEART CAMP gathering will be a group of 42 people, with Jamie sharing stories, experiences, and passions. Topics will include mental health, authenticity, writing, starting something that matters, and bringing your heart to work. Attendees will be invited to help shape HEART CAMP by giving input on the topics they hope to hear about.

IS HEART CAMP FOR ME?

Have you been inspired by Jamie's work over the years? Are you passionate about mental health? Are you a writer or a speaker? Are you curious about using words to bring encouragement and hope to people? Do you dream of starting an organization or a brand, or are you in the process of starting something? Are you interested in bringing your heart to work and creating positive change? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we would love to have you at HEART CAMP!

WILL THERE BE ANY SPECIAL GUESTS?

Yes! Each HEART CAMP features two guest speakers. Miles Adcox and Sierra DeMulder will be joining us in Nashville.

Miles Adcox is the owner and CEO of Onsite, which offers experiential therapy workshops designed to help individuals and couples experience a breakthrough and discover a better future. Onsite partners with the world’s top therapists specializing in trauma, codependency, process addiction, stress, and burnout, family of origin, and shame resiliency to help people overcome dysfunctional patterns and establish healthy relationships. Miles and Onsite have been featured on 20/20, Good Morning America, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and more. Miles has consulted major brands on organizational health and emotional wellness. He is also a communication, personal growth, and mental health consultant to the entertainment industry.

Sierra DeMulder is an internationally touring performance poet and educator, a two-time National Poetry Slam champion, and the Director of bluapple Poetry Network, which is a program of the Jason Taylor Foundation. In addition to performing, Sierra is the co-founder of Slam Camp, an annual writing summer camp for high school students, and Button Poetry, the largest digital distributor of spoken word in the world. She is also the author of four books, including Today Means Amen. Sierra stole the show at the first two workshops in Florida. We're excited to have her with us once again in Nashville. Sierra’s session will be a mix of performance, teaching, and Q&A.

IF I'M STRUGGLING WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, COULD HEART CAMP BE HELPFUL?

We want to be sure that HEART CAMP is a healthy environment for everyone who attends. While mental health will be discussed, we will not be providing professional mental health care at this event. If you're currently struggling with mental health issues, our hope is that you will seek professional help. There will be other opportunities to attend HEART CAMP.
